What is the best electric bike in our store?
Great question, but there is no single 'greatest' electric bicycle, you first must look at the type of riding that you intend to do. If you want to speed downhill on the mountains, then a fully loaded commuter bicycle is not going to work too well. So here is a guide to the most common brands that we carry (as of summer 2026) and how they really stand out in their own ways.
Rocky Moutain - BEST E-BIKE FOR MOUNTAINS
As the name implies they craft their bikes for mountainous, rocky and extreme terrain. In store we carry a mixture of both full suspension and hard tail models. A full suspension bike, such as the Instinct PowerPlay, features full suspension, hyraulic disc brakes and Maxxis Minion tyres with a thick patterned tread perfect for hitting the slopes. Mid-drive Bosch and Dyname motors and pedal assist features, as well as a dropper seat post feature mean the bike is a premium price of $6,000 + tax. If you are looking for the best then look no further than a Rocky.
Spherik - BEST E-BIKE FOR URBAN RIDING MID-SEASON MID-RANGE PRICE POINT
We carry two models of Spherik, a company based out of the Province of Quebec and the SE-1 and SES are both excellent for an all around commuter bike that will get you where you need to go in Urban and paved trail environments. The thick tyres are a nice feature for gravel terrain, however this bike is best suited for paved roads and trails. Expect to pay $1,999.99-$2,799.99 plus tax for these models.
Opus - BEST MID DRIVE SPORTY COMMUTER STYLE BIKES
Another Canadian based brand, Opus bikes is again from Quebec, we carry the Connect and Wknd LT models which integrate top-tier Shimano parts into their light and sporty electric bicycle designs. Sleek silver colours, fenders, and a built in rear rack are all part of the overall perfect commuter package. $2,659.00 + tax is the price of the models that we have from OPUS.
Velec - BEST WARRANTY AND ANTI-THEFT PROTECTION
If your bike is stolen in the first 3 years they replace it. That coupled with dedicated road side assistance programs as well as being an authorized dealer of the brand means we can get replacement parts into our service shop in Cornwall, ON quickly. If you are looking for an excellent bike brand for you to enjoy retirement and travel along the bike paths then look no further. Each Velec has a serial number on both the bike and battery which we register online for you. Models begin at $2,199.00-$4,000 The higher end for the premium mid drive model such as the E3 Pro. A2 and R48+ are the more popular models. The R48+ comes with a built in indicator flashers and a horn too!
Taubik - BEST E-BIKE FOR OFF ROAD TRAILS & ADVENTURE
Taubik is known best for their fat tyre and folding electric bikes. The fat tyre are perfect for snow and powdered terrain. If you enjoy riding off road this is the bicycle you need all season. Samsung battery cells of the highest quality, dual sensors, torque and cadence, and being fully UL certified. Price range for models: $1999.99-$3,299.99 + tax.
Moose - BEST E-BIKE FOR SLEEK STYLE
Urban, stylish and lightweight are features that some look for in their electric bicycles and Moose delivers in those aspects. The Caravelle and Metropolitain are perfectly suited for flat terrain commuting through urban areas. Best of lighter riding vs heavy long term wear and tear.
